Here is July 2026 EconoVue Newsletter. EconoVue is pleased to announce another product enhancement. It is a new research tool – NAICS/O*NET LOOKUP, available across all four modules. We also highlight three unique use cases with broader goals than workforce development. Yet these are relevant to every workforce region:
Sourcing Local Businesses for Buy Local Initiative: As part of a Buy Local initiative, a County workforce board was asked to assist in identifying local businesses. These local businesses could provide commodities and goods. They would replace those currently purchased from “out of county” vendors.
Building Clustered Business Outreach Strategies: A workforce board launched a business walk program. They wanted to cluster businesses around a specific address or corridor. Alternatively, their goal was to identify industry-specific groups for the Business Service Teams.
Employer Outreach for Occupational Safety Campaign: Another workforce board needed to proactively engage employers in high-hazard sectors, such as agriculture, forestry, and farming, to provide occupational safety training.
First, the workforce board internally created an AI-assisted crosswalk to translate commodities to NAICS codes. Next, the workforce board ran a custom NAICS search to identify local businesses in those sectors, AND that were either a Headquarters location or a Single Location business. Target and engage priority candidates for the new program.
